More Games, Less Waiting: An Unexpected Bonus

During our pilot test phase with a few Run organizers, including Organizer Jeff, we stumbled onto a positive outcome no one predicted. Jeff was filling our team (a fancy word for my dad, my brother, and me) in on how his pilot of the app was going. He helps run a crew that plays MWF during the week before the guys head to their respective jobs. He started showing some of his guys how he was selecting teams so quickly. They were genuinely excited by the efficiency and pumped that the teams were fair. We were pleased with this report but expected as much.

The thing we didn't expect was Jeff telling us that, due to the efficiency of making teams, the late comers in his crew started showing up on time because more games were being played each run! This led to a virtuous cycle of more efficient organization → more games played → better crew adherence to start times → more efficient organization, and so on. Speechless is too dramatic, but we were floored by this outcome. Run the Run is all about making the job of the organizer more smooth, and this knocked it out of the park. We all love to hoop, so hearing hoopers get more games played before the workday starts legitimately put some pep in our step.
